Sunny in the Dark- New Release TCFF

Where most actors could have easily turned her character into a NELL like caricature, Ward has a hypnotic quality about her that grounds Sunny and excels.

Old Fashioned- New Release

“Old Fashioned” isn’t going to do much for those who don’t share the same beliefs, but it holds as a strong and refreshing enough a story for those who do.

Courtney Cox makes as good as a directorial debut as you’d expect with the underwhelming and sloppy wannabe dramedy “Just Before I Go”.

Wild Canaries- New Release

I understand “Wild Canaries” is supposed to be a very frollicking New Yorky comedy, but I would have rather just pinched myself over and over and over than watch this movie, and it would have been a less painful experience.

The Young Kieslowski- New Release

“The Young Kieslowski” is an absolute crowd pleaser.  Selfish youth clashing with forced maturity but told to the audience with enough love, hope, and humor to win you over.  I was dazzled and moved.

The Well- New Release

“The Well” has a spark to it that allows the film to thrive and rise above the rest of the saturated crop.  Above average casting and an ability to actually create tension make this a decent watch.

Where the Trail Ends- New Release

“Where the Trail Ends” may have a nice look to it but in the end is just a generic rinse and repeat of slow motion orgy ride shots that has zero soul.

The Last Time You Had Fun- TCF New Release

I enjoyed 82 minutes of four decent tv actors getting on the big screen with characters defining and trying to break through their relationship tribulations and depressions.
